The concrete pouring of block zero of No. 6 main pier of Jianghan Canal Grand Bridge on the riverside first-class highway (from downtown Jingzhou to Libu) started on September 22. Cantilever (hanging basket) construction will come after concrete pouring, laying a solid foundation for the bridge to be open to traffic next year as scheduled.
The construction project of the riverside first-class highway starts from Yangjing Village, Libu and ends at the terminal point of Provincial Highway 428. With a full length of some 10.784 kilometers and a designed speed of 80km/h, the project will be constructed according to the standards of two-way four-lane first-class highways.
After being open to traffic, the riverside first-class highway will be an important "green channel" for vegetable transport in Jingzhou.
